LIL’ DIPPERS 3 & 4 YEARS OLD

This class is designed for children who are two school years away from starting kindergarten.  A fun classroom setting will allow for social and academic development.  Social skills such as being kind, interacting with new people, taking turns, sharing, respectfulness and following directions will be practiced throughout the year.  We will focus on name recognition, followed by tracing.  By years end, the goal is to have the students printing their names.  We will also work on the alphabet, numbers (0-10), shapes, and colors.  During class we will also enjoy arts and crafts, singing and dancing as well as constructive play.  This class will be a great way for your child to begin their school career in a positive and loving environment. 

Lil Dippers will meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.  

Preschool will be in session beginning January 31, 2012 and will conclude on June 14, 2012.  

BIG DIPPERS 4 & 5 YEARS OLD

This class is designed for children who will enter kindergarten the following school year.  A structured classroom environment will allow for social and academic development.  Social skills such as being kind to others, sharing, taking turns, respectfulness, following directions and working in a group will be practiced throughout the year.  We will focus on the alphabet, printing their names, introducing numbers 0-30, patterning, vocabulary enhancement, as well as arts and crafts, singing and dancing, and some small science projects.

Big Dippers will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00am to 1:00pm.  

Pre-Kindergarten will be in session beginning January 30, 2012 and conclude on June 15, 2012.  

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE 

The schedule can vary from class to class, depending on different activities introduced that day and the individual needs in a specific class but can include the following:

• Table Toys Time (fine motor activities, play dough, puzzles, coloring and creating, water play, sand play, painting, etc.)
• Clean up (children are encouraged to help and be responsible for what they are working on)
• Circle Time (greeting, attendance, songs, calendar, etc)
• Craft with whole group (reinforce circle learning time)
• Snack Time
• Learning Circle Time (songs, story, theme activity, etc.)
• Small Group Learning (academic skills)
• Centers/Free Choice (sensory integration)
• Spanish Time
• Music & Movement Time
• Exercise Time
• Closing Circle Time (time to go home)
