MEET THE STAFF:

JODEE SMITH is the director at All-Star Kids Company.  Her qualifications start with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education (ECE).  Jodee worked as a State of Oregon case manager working with kids 0-18 years old.  She realized that she wanted to work more intensely with young children, so continued her education, receiving her Master of Arts in Teaching with a Special Education endorsement.  Jodee worked as a teacher in Oregon for 5 years where she learned some sign language, attended lecture series, worked closely with families, and has a current First Aid and CPR certification.  Jodee founded Quincy Smart Start Early Learning Center and taught there for two years before moving to a different city.  She has also completed behavioral management courses, a State of Washington childcare certification program, and has 3 children of her own.

ASHELYN ROSS is a 2012 graduate from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA.  She graduated with academic honors, achieving nearly a 4.0 cumulative GPA and obtaining a BA in Elementary Education with minors in Reading Instruction and Psychology.  She already has three years of experience working at a preschool, tutoring privately, and many practicums in public schools, including an Intercultural Exchange to Hawaii in January 2012.  She is very passionate about kids and education, especially at the preschool level during these crucial developmental years.  Her goal is to impact students on the path of discovery and help them build a strong foundation for learning. 

There will be other specialists assisting with our music and movement program, our Spanish curriculum, and more!
